This week, we take time to recognize the physicians whose dedication, knowledge, and compassion shape the lives of so many. Doctors' Day, celebrated annually on March 30, was first observed in 1933 as a way to honor the vital role physicians play in caring for individuals and strengthening communities. Nearly a century later, its purpose remains the same: gratitude.
At Montgomery Place, Doctors' Day is an opportunity to pause and say thank you—not only to the physicians actively practicing today, but also to the many retired physicians who proudly call Montgomery Place home. These residents spent their careers answering late-night calls, making difficult decisions, and offering reassurance in moments of uncertainty. Their legacy of service continues to inspire us, and we are honored to have them as part of our community.
We are also grateful for the exceptional medical leadership that supports our residents every day. Special recognition goes to our Medical Director, Dr. Stacie Levine, whose expertise, steady guidance, and commitment to person-centered care help ensure the highest standards of health and wellness at Montgomery Place. We extend our appreciation as well to Dr. Levine's team at UC Health, whose collaboration and professionalism make them invaluable partners in the care of our residents.
Wellness is built on trust, and physicians play a critical role in that foundation—listening carefully, advocating fiercely, and caring deeply for the people they serve. This Doctors' Day, we celebrate all doctors: past and present, near and far, whose work has made a lasting difference.
In honor of Doctors' Day, we invite you to listen to a special conversation between Montgomery Place resident Dr. Michel Rivlin and our Medical Director, Dr. Stacie Levine. Together, they explore compassion, connection, and what it truly means to heal—at every stage of life. From all of us at Montgomery Place, thank you for your service, your dedication, and your enduring impact.
