Our approach to health and fitness is progressive

Live well and stay active at Montgomery Place.

It’s easy and fun to stay active with programs, activities and resources that support health and well-being. With a selection of scheduled fitness classes at the Marjorie Pullman Wellness Center, exercise can be social with group classes like water aerobics in our indoor heated pool and low-impact cardiovascular aerobics and chair yoga in the fitness room. There’s state-of-the-art equipment for strength training—and after exercise, visit the spa and get a massage.

If you prefer a less physically demanding workout, try our Wii gaming system for some friendly competition on the big screen in our busy café/library. There are resident clubs for bridge and board games too.

Visit the beautifully manicured rooftop and outdoor gardens, share stunning views of Lake Michigan and enjoy the lights on Promontory Point. Participate in resident-created and planned activities including:

  • Wellness clinics with the wellness staff
  • Fitness walks at the Museum of Science and Industry
  • Water fitness groups
  • Carpet bowling
  • Meditation and Tai Chi groups
  • Gardening (edibles and ornamentals)
  • Ping Pong
